The Client Area is where you manage every aspect of your VPS For Life account — services, billing, support, and account settings. This guide walks through its main sections.
Logging In
Access your account at vpsforlife.com/clientarea.php using the email and password you set during registration.
Dashboard Overview
The main dashboard shows your active services, recent invoices, and open support tickets at a glance.
Managing Your Services
Under Services → My Services, you can:
- View your VPS's IP address, status, and plan details
- Request an upgrade or downgrade (see How to Upgrade or Downgrade Your VPS Plan)
- Access management tools depending on your plan (reboot, reinstall, console access)
Billing and Invoices
Under Billing, you can view, download, and pay invoices — see How to View, Download & Manage Your Invoices for full detail. This is also where you manage saved payment methods and enable/disable auto-renewal.
Support Tickets
Open a new support request anytime at vpsforlife.com/submitticket.php, or view the status of existing tickets under Support → My Tickets. Include specifics (error messages, what you've already tried, relevant IP/hostname) for the fastest resolution.
Account Settings
Under Account Details, update your contact email, password, and two-factor authentication settings for the Client Area itself — distinct from any 2FA you configure on the VPS itself (see How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for SSH).
Security Recommendations for Your Client Area Account
- Use a strong, unique password for your Client Area login, different from your VPS's own credentials
- Enable two-factor authentication on the Client Area account if available
- Keep your contact email current — it's how you'll receive renewal reminders and critical service notices
Common Errors
Can't log in / forgot password — use the password reset link on the login page; if you no longer have access to the email on file, contact support for identity verification.
Service shows "Suspended" — typically indicates an unpaid invoice; see What to Do If Your Payment Fails.
FAQ
Can I manage multiple VPS instances from one Client Area account?
Yes — all services under your account appear together under My Services, each manageable independently.
