We're continuing to invest in the reliability and speed of our infrastructure across our datacenter network. This update covers what's changed and what customers should know.
Network
The Classic range runs on a 1 Gbps port. Every other range — SSD, NVMe, Cloud and VDS — is on a 10 Gbps port. Bandwidth itself is not metered on any plan: there is no monthly transfer allowance and no overage billing, under a fair-use expectation aimed at traffic that has nothing to do with running a legitimate service. Storage, stated properly
An earlier version of this update said every plan runs on NVMe. That was wrong, and it is worth correcting plainly rather than quietly, because storage type is one of the things customers most need to get right before ordering.
- Classic VPS — HDD storage. The cheapest route to a KVM server with full root access.
- SSD VPS and Cloud VPS — Enterprise SSD.
- NVMe VPS — Enterprise NVMe.
- VDS — NVMe or HDD depending on the plan.
The detail that surprises people: the NVMe range costs less than the Cloud range and is faster on disk. Cloud earns its price on CPU count and its Port 25 guarantee, not on storage. NVMe vs SSD, in detail.
