Does the location change the price?

Yes, for some countries. Datacenter costs are not the same everywhere and some locations carry local conditions that cost more to serve, so a few countries cost more than others. Each country shows its own price during checkout, before you pay, so you can compare a shortlist at the order stage rather than discovering a surcharge afterwards.

Can I test a location before I buy?

Yes. Open a support ticket naming the country you are considering and ask for a test IP, and we will send one you can ping and run network tests against. That is a better answer than a published latency table, because you are measuring the path between the datacenter and your own users rather than reading a figure measured on someone else's connection.

Which location gives me the lowest latency?

The one closest to the people or systems making the requests. We deliberately publish no millisecond figures, because latency depends on your own network path and any number we printed would be true for some visitors and false for others. How do I choose the datacenter when ordering?

The location is selected during checkout, where the price for each country is shown. If you are unsure which to pick, tell us where your users or your broker are and we will give you a straight answer rather than steering you to whichever location we would prefer to fill.

Can I move an existing server to a different country?

Contact support with your order ID to discuss it. A move between locations is a migration rather than a setting, so it needs planning — and if you are still inside the first 7 days of a first order, the money-back guarantee is often the simpler path.

Which country is best for sending email?

The country matters far less than people expect. What decides whether your mail is accepted is a clean sending IP, a PTR record, correct SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and a sensible volume ramp-up. Choose the location on latency like any other workload, and put the effort into the records.

Do you publish the datacenter facility names or cities?

Not at present — the list is by country. If you need a specific city or facility for a compliance or peering reason, ask before ordering and we will tell you what is possible rather than guessing on a public page.

Is DDoS filtering the same in every location?

Network-level filtering applies everywhere, but it is provided upstream by each datacenter rather than by us, so the specifics differ by location. We would rather say that plainly than imply a single uniform standard we do not control.

A latency figure is only true for the network path it was measured on. Your ISP, your country and the route between you and the datacenter all change it. A host quoting “12ms to Europe” without knowing where you are is quoting a number that happens to be true for them.
