What is the difference between the five ranges?

Mostly storage and resource allocation. Classic uses HDD on a 1 Gbps port and is the cheapest. SSD and Cloud both use Enterprise SSD; NVMe uses Enterprise NVMe. VDS is the only range with dedicated RAM rather than allocated, and it offers far more IPv4 addresses. Everything else — KVM, root, bandwidth, Port 25 — is the same throughout.

Do I get dedicated CPU cores?

On the VDS range you get dedicated RAM, and that is what its specification promises. On the four VPS ranges, CPU and memory are allocated to your instance under KVM rather than drawn from a shared pool as you use them — which is what makes performance predictable — but the physical cores are not exclusively yours. We would rather say that plainly than let "KVM" imply something it does not.

Is bandwidth really unlimited?

Yes, inbound and outbound, on every plan, with no metered cap and no overage billing. It carries a fair-use expectation rather than a published number: sustained use that degrades the node for other customers is what the policy addresses, not ordinary heavy traffic. If you expect to run a port near capacity around the clock, tell us before you order and we will give you a straight answer.

Which range should I start with?

If cost matters most and your workload is not disk-bound, Classic. If you want a sensible default, SSD. If your work is database-heavy, NVMe — which is cheaper than Cloud despite having faster storage. Cloud if you want more CPU and RAM per plan. VDS if you need dedicated RAM or a lot of IP addresses.

Are the plans managed?

No. Every plan is unmanaged: the operating system, patching, firewall, applications and backups are yours from the moment it deploys. Support answers deployment, network and platform questions, and sets your reverse DNS, but does not administer your server.

Do any plans include backups?

No. We hold no copy of your data on any plan, at any price. This is deliberate and stated everywhere on the site. Set up your own off-site backups before you put anything you care about on a server.

Are there setup fees?

On four of the 21 plans, all at the entry end: $3.00 on the cheapest Classic plan, $2.00 on the second Classic and on the entry SSD plan, and $1.00 on the entry NVMe plan. Every price on this site shows the setup fee next to it rather than revealing it at checkout.

Can I change plan later?

Upgrades within a range are handled from the client area. Moving between ranges is possible but depends on your server, so open a ticket and we will tell you what is involved before you commit rather than after.

The row people misread: NVMe VPS costs less than Cloud VPS and has faster storage. The Cloud range buys more CPU and RAM per plan, not a quicker disk. If storage speed is the reason you are here, NVMe is both the right range and the cheaper one.

How to Choose Without Overbuying

Four questions, in the order that actually narrows it down.

Is your workload disk-bound? A busy database, campaign software over a large list, heavy logging or CI builds — those feel the disk. A brochure site, a VPN endpoint or a plain mail server does not. If the answer is no, you can stop reading the storage marketing and buy on capacity and price. Storage
How much space, versus how fast? These pull against each other. Classic VPS gives the most gigabytes per pound on HDD; NVMe gives the quickest disk but less of it. Decide which you are short of before you compare prices. Capacity
